and it was called funyun: a linux daemon to sync multiple security logs across multiple servers and use the data to block offenders
after all that time with fail2bans regex, we’re scraping it to make our own tool
Wondering if it’s wrong to charge a client for more than basic security, damn morals

found the python regex tester: http://www.pythonregex.com/ apparently the regex issues are in fail2ban… 10% closer to a solution
} [0-9.]{7,15} -> (?P<host>\S+)\s+$ completely matches the data with python ,multi or single line mode, fail2ban… nothing #annoyed
